Why Do We Give?

Jeremiah 17:7-8 – “Blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in Him. They will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream. It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green. It has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit.”
Psalm 107:8-9 – “Let them give thanks to the LORD for His unfailing love and His wonderful deeds for mankind, for He satisfies the thirsty and fills the hungry with good thing.”
Matthew 25:35-40 – “For I was hungry and you gave Me food, I was thirsty and you gave Me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed Me,  I was naked and you clothed Me, I was sick and you visited Me, I was in prison and you came to Me. Then the righteous will answer Him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you drink? And when did we see you a stranger and welcome you, or naked and clothe you? And when did we see you sick or in prison and visit you?’ And the King will answer them, ‘Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to Me.’”
Psalm 82:3 – “Give justice to the weak and the fatherless; maintain the right of the afflicted and the destitute”. Psalm 99:2 – “Whoever has a bountiful eye will be blessed, for he shares his bread with the poor.”
2 Corinthians 9:11 – “You will be enriched in every way so that you can be generous on every occasion, and through us your generosity will result in thanksgiving to God.”
